Avedis Donabedian Research Institute (FAD) seeks to incorporate a postdoctoral researcher for a 4-month contract

The FAD presents a 4-month replacement job offer for a postdoctoral researcher to join international projects related to improving quality of healthcare.


Key responsibilities:
• Coordination and management of research and development projects of the FAD
• Participation in the design of projects for national and international calls
• Coordination of teams and work groups
• Supervision and/or support in the recruitment of cases, contact with centers, logistical tasks, preparation of data collection forms, conducting fieldwork, evaluation and audits in organizations.
• Review and analysis of scientific literature.
• Preparation of manuscripts and support in the preparation of scientific reports and documents.
• Dialogue with other teams, government and research institutions.


Essential requirements
• Training and qualifications: PhD, preferably in the field of health sciences (medicine, nursing, psychology, etc.) or social sciences (sociology, political science, anthropology, etc.) with experience in research.
• Experience in European projects will be desirable.
• Interest in the development of quality indicators, person-centred care, implementation sciences, PROMs and PREMs evaluation
• Languages: it is considered essential to have a written and spoken level of English (minimum C1). Spanish and Catalan written and spoken will be valued.
• Flexibility to make short-term trips (in the Spanish and European geographical area)
• Knowledge and skills:
– Define and describe evaluation and implementation designs in healthcare
– Literature review and preparation of theoretical frameworks
– Structure and prepare scientific reports and documents
– Qualitative methods including performing interviews
– Moderate and coordinate working groups
– Meeting management
– Critical analysis of literature
– Perform basic quantitative analysis
– Ability to work in a team, organize and prioritize activities, communication skills, empathy, assertiveness


Preferred experience and skills:
• Experience and interest in:
• Management of research projects with national or European quantitative and qualitative methodologies
• Experience and/or training in accreditation, person-centred care and other areas of quality of care
• Preparation of manuscripts and reports
• Synthesis of the literature
• Preparation and management of surveys, interviews and focus groups.

• Salary: Economic conditions to be negotiated during the interview depending on the candidate’s profile.
• Training in the field of quality of care, care indicators, person-centered care and patient and community empowerment.
• Integration into a multidisciplinary team with experience in managing research projects in health services.
• Leadership of projects in the field of quality of care in the European and national environment.

Workplace:
Preferably in-person at the FAD office (Provença 293, principal, 08037, Barcelona, Spain). However, we are open to negotiating alternative hybrid work options.
