We remain associated with REDISSEC until 2021.
We announce that for the next four years (until 2021) we will continue to be linked to the Research Network on Health Services in Chronic Diseases (REDISSEC).
This network is built on three major issues:
- The challenge of managing the phenomenon of chronicity.
- The need for more and better information
- The obligation to increase research capacity in health policies and services in Spain.
It has the following objectives:
- To characterize chronicity and chronic disease care by describing the phenomenon: prevalence of disease, met and unmet needs, utilization of health services, equity in access to care and budgetary impact of chronic diseases.
- To evaluate the way in which health organizations meet the needs of the chronically ill, in terms of their quality and efficiency.
- To study the impact of health interventions on chronically ill patients and their caregivers, with special attention to their relative effectiveness and efficiency.
- To develop and evaluate the impact of health policies, with specific attention to the need for care, equity of access to care, and allocative efficiency.
- To facilitate innovation in health services research, through the development of a better methodological arsenal and decision support tools.
On the REDISSEC website (www.redissec.com), you can find all the details, including the five strategic research areas or work packages.
