Open phase of EMPODERA
We invite you to participate in the e-mpodera community of practice. It is a space to improve attitudes, knowledge and skills for the improvement of patient empowerment and to have practical tools to better accompany our patients with chronic diseases.
This space is part of a FIS project: “Effectiveness of a virtual intervention (CdPV) aimed at professionals to improve their attitude towards the empowerment of patients with chronic diseases: cluster RCT”, and is coordinated by the Avedis Donabedian University Institute, together with the Primary Care Assistance Management of the Madrid Health Service and the Evaluation Service of the Canary Health Service (SESCS) funded by the Carlos III Health Institute.
What does it consist of?
We invite you to participate for 6 months, in a Virtual Community of Practice (CoPV) in which we will reflect, and learn in a collaborative way how to empower and better accompany patients with chronic diseases in our usual clinical practice.
Who can participate?
It is aimed at people with interest in the subject and willingness to learn in a collaborative way, willing to assume the commitment to participate in the proposed activities.
Although it is especially designed for Primary Care professionals of the Spanish Health System, professionals from other health systems are also welcome.
What benefits will I get?
You will be able to participate in a collaborative learning experience in the area of empowerment, at your own pace, without barriers of time and space.
You will have access to resources and content related to the topic and the possibility of exchanging experiences with other participants.
If you participate in the proposed activities, at the end you will receive a certificate of participation in a coordinated research project funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III.
Other participants have said:
“A thousand thanks for this course: I hope it will give me tools for a future, it has allowed me to share information and reflect on ideas, as well as become aware of the need to empower.”
