Maria João Forjaz, new president of the Spanish Society of Epidemiology
Maria João Forjaz, who previously served as vice president, is a scientific researcher at the National Center for Epidemiology and, since 2015, has been conducting research in public health and the epidemiology of chronic diseases at the Carlos III Health Institute.
During her term as president, Forjaz seeks to increase the participation of SEE members and continue to actively collaborate with other scientific societies, both national and international.
The new SEE board aims to further increase its impact on society and health policies, highlighting the public health agency and laws regulating tobacco and alcohol.
