New LiverationEU project

We started a new project!

Last week, on June 29th, we participated in the kick-off meeting of the European project Liveration: Unravelling the impact of Radiofrecuency in liver surgery: the key to decrease local recurrence?.

Liveration is a clinical trial that will be performed in several hospitals of seven European countries (France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland), focused on colorectal cancer and liver metastasis. The project aims to improve the life expectancy of liver cancer patients. More specifically, it aims to determine if the additional ablation margin produced by radiofrequency can decrease the recurrence rate and improve patient survival.

FAD will be involved in the project by performing the following tasks, together with other partners:

  • Conducting a systematic review and a network meta-analysis.
  • Evaluating quality of life and patients’ experience (PROMs & PREMs).
  • Conducting Living labsto better understand the experience of patients and other stakeholders involved in the clinical trial.
  • Creating an interactive decision tool.
  • Writing a report on recommendations to address inequalities in access to quality care.

You can find more information about the project in its website and its Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.
