SEMICYUC Quality

SEMICYUC Quality is the new project resulting from the agreement between the Avedis Donabedian Foundation, the Technology and Health Foundation, and SEMICYUC to collaborate in the development of a model for the accreditation of clinical and organizational quality in Intensive Care Units.

The objective is to promote excellence in these services through a certification system based on the application of an Accreditation Manual by Intensive Care Units. The model will include clinical best practices, implementation aids, measurement tools, results analysis, and advice for the continuous improvement process of care quality.

These practices aim to prevent or mitigate incidents in intensive care units, minimize the risk of complications and events such as nosocomial infection, ensure proper medication management and patient assessment, and achieve high levels of compliance with guidelines and protocols based on a solid scientific basis.
